Hello 2010!!

random stuff

I’ll be saying hello to the first day of 2010 by recapping our 2009 New Year’s Eve.

Last night was extremely low key. Like if it was any lower key, it would’ve been just any other Thursday night. We made some tasty food (rye bread dip! frozen appetizers! summer sausage! caramel popcorn!) and let Anna drink a cream soda. [Whoooo... look out for these party animals!!!] I hooked up our new Wii and we had some fun there. I was all set to let Anna stay up until midnight, sucking down cream sodas until the ball dropped, but she dropped at about 8:30, so off to bed for her.

After she went to bed, we put in one of our Netflix movies, Public Enemies, and I was amazed at how hard they must have had to work to take an interesting story with great actors wearing fabulous costumes to a cool soundtrack and made one of the most boring movies I’ve ever seen. So I fell asleep before the ball dropped.

Here’s to an exciting start to 2010!!

    rye bread dip and caramel popcorn sounds yummy. We played Wii, too (or should I say my DH played). We bought DD a bottle of sparkling white grape juice and she drank about half the bottle! Low key NYE celebrations are good. Happy 2010!

    Sounds like a great night to me! I just ate homemade Chinese, and stayed up watching my Ozzie & Harriet dvd collection. {I forgot I had summer sausage in the fridge! hehe}

    Happy 2010!

    HaHa! That is funny. Sounds like something we would do.

    Sounds great. I’d much rather a quiet evening at home than a party with people I don’t really care about. And watching a movie is one of my fav things to do. Too bad it was boring.

    Sounds like our New Year’s Eve. We made homemade pizzas & ice cream. Played board games and the Wii with the kiddos. We’re hooked on Rampage. Who doesn’t like to be a monster destroying buildings? Wishing you an amazing 2010!

    This year was an exception, we did go out, but an evening at home sounds bliss!

    Nice way to bring in the New Year. Whatever feels right seems to be right.
