This is a site about me and stuff I do. I will give my opinions on things no one but me cares about. I am a 35 36 year old married woman with one child, two dogs and who lives in a suburb of an economically depressed western NYS city.
Here’s some history… I started this blog back in June 2001, using a blogspot address (krisobi.blogspot.com). After a couple of years, I finally got my shit together and made my own site at krisobi.com with grand huge plans of having multiple pages of fascinating content, drawing billions of people to my site. However, I am incredibly lazy about my own projects so nothing ever got done except for the blog page. After a couple of more years, I got bored with the design and instead of spending a couple of more years in a redesign, I went insane and installed Moveable Type on my webserver. That was very stupid, MT was a lot more work than I was interested in doing. Finally I tried WordPress, picked a template, pointed it to krisobi.com and called it good.
When 2009 rolled around, I made a resolution to post once a day for a whole year just to see if I could do it. So far, I’ve made most of the days, but missed a couple here and there. Spending that much time on this site made me want to change it up again. I renamed it to Suddenly Routine, changed the URL and picked yet another theme and called it better. We’ll see if I’ll make it to the end of the year. I’ve already posted more in the past three months that in the eight-ish years past all together.
When I started this blog, I was in a much different place. Single, dating, drinking, totally broke, unemployed, etc. It made for much more interesting blog fodder. Now, eight or so years later, I’m happily married, have a decent house and have a sweet baby who smiles when I walk into the room. Life is good, but makes for an incredibly boring website.
